Lloyd has now gone off but he and Mac Donald have been great again.

Rovers still on top but posh will have a spell if it stays 1-0. Need another goal

A minute after Rides attempted clearance hits our own post a peach of a cross by Khan is headed in by Lewis. Brilliant stuff!

Well apart from the last few minutes that was an enjoyable game with rovers full value for the victory. Some of the football we played at times was excellent with lots of good links ups in wide areas. When you think of the number of changes made it was very good indeed. The defence was excellent with Ray and Rides both impressive and Otis Cafu carrying on his great form. McDonald immense too along with OConnor in his holding role and Lewis leading by example with the captains armband and getting the second goal. Morris very good second half but MOM for me was OConnor who didn’t put a foot wrong in an unfamiliar role.
On to the semis and one game from Wembley although it would be nice one day to enjoy the last few minutes of a game!!

A fantastic performance by the second string and a deserved victory. It is an incredible result when you consider the players Peterborough had on the pitch in the second half.

The game opened out after half time, but I thought we we were much the better side and created the better chances. As Sparky says, some of the passing and movement was excellent and demonstrates the confidence that is flowing through the squad at the moment.

I thought everybody played well, with Ridehalgh, Ray, Morris, Mac Donald and Lloyd all having good games. O'Connor and Lewis both did well out of position, particularly the former, and credit to Hill for again having the courage to use players in unfamiliar roles. Kirby was excellent: always willing to receive the ball, confident and showing good vision, while also being prepared to get stuck in.

My man of the match would probably be Mac Donald, just ahead of Kirby and Lloyd: Callum just seems to getter and better.

We are now ninety minutes from Wembley and a tasty looking semi final awaits.

That game just empathises the quality of the squad that Hill has at his disposal. When you think it didn’t even include CBT or Ferrier, new signings Nugent or Crawford, never mind the majority of the team that won at Morecambe.

There is no excuse for this squad not leading us back to league one, especially as 4 teams go up.

I’m made up with tonight’s win but a tad bittersweet as if we win the semi, fans won’t get to Prenton Park South....

Fantastic performance that. Really positive all game, the confidence is sky high, fringe players playing really well and our overall play was really good. Lot's of excellent performances tonight, can't really single anyone out. Well done lads. Onto the semis!
