great first half performance.

from 60 mins on GTF was blowing for tugs, and always 15 yrds behind his man when they attacked.
Infact all there good chances in the 2nd half came down that side with a spare man available to swing a cross in.

Kirby should have been brought on or GTF moved to centre forward and Norwood with some running still in his legs moved to the left side.

Ian Goodison... who else!
A rare trip to PP for me this season but happy to maintain my 100% win record!

Torquay were very poor and it was obvious that Brabin had given his orders to go on the offensive as Rovers looked to get forward at every opportunity, whether via long balls or attacking runs from Mekki and Vaughan. It was good to see us playing with confidence and attacking intent for a change. GTFs goal came from nowhere but it was no more than we deserved in the first half. Norwood was extremely isolated al game so it was great for him to get rewarded for all his efforts, although watching the goals back the Gulls keeper has had an absolute shocker there.

Almost inevitably we conceded straight after going 2-0 up with Jenno putting the ball out for a Torquay throw in our final third trying to play a neat pass rather than clear his lines. Throw-in, deflected cross and weak defending gave Torquay a life line. What GTF lacks in fitness he makes up for in experience and his ability to read the game as he popped up in our penalty box late on to calmly clear the danger.

Mentions for Mekki, Vaughan and GTF who all had good games.
