Seen somewhere posted by someone else on the other forum that in the Echo it says Nors might be out for the remainder.

Not sure if true but we have a squad for a reason.

Mellon himself said he could be out for the season in his interview today. However, he described Norwood as a 'major doubt' rather than definitely out of tomorrow's game.

Let's be positive. If Nors is out, then as one door closes another opens - for Dagnall, Mullin or possibly in a while Miller. In the case of Chris, he would at last have a chance of earning a contract for next season.

Surely it will be Mullin given his record this season. Can’t see miller being ready yet

You would think it would be Mullin, unless Mellon has got something else up his sleeve and changes the shape of the team somehow.

Think Mullin's last appearance was as a sub at Cheltenham in mid-January, while Dagnall has had a couple of appearances off the bench. It's asking a lot of either to fill Norwood's shoes, given they're so ring rusty. If we are to win this without Nors, will need a strong showing from the regulars.

We must be heading for the biggest crowd we have had for a regular league fixture in over a decade, excluding freebie matches. Hugely significant for the future of the club.

I have a feeling Norwood could yet be involved today but would be surprised if Miller is in the squad at all this season

Still says on today's team news that Miller is a long term absentee so you're probably right bigmart.

I think this could be the toughest of our four "cup finals". Lincoln are already up and Bury could be fairly safe by the time we play them. FGR won't get automatic promotion but still need a few more points for the play-offs, so they will defend and be happy with a point. Without our three key players, we may struggle a bit. I'm forecasting 1-1 and hoping it won't be any worse.

The Bury game will be equally tough, if not tougher. They won't have guaranteed automatic promotion by next Saturday, so they will be going hell for leather.

If Norwood does not play I think Mellon is likely to tinker with things a bit, playing Jennings further forward with Smith or Gilmour just off him. I doubt he will just make a like for like change with Mullin replacing Norwood.

7,500 pre-sales now, 1,000 more than at this time last Saturday. Nuts.

If the reports of Norwood’s absence are confirmed, then whether Micky goes for the tactical adjustment RLC suggests or puts Mullin/Dagnall up front. there will be an adaptation process. Whether Norwood is back for Bury or the players have got more familiar with playing in his absence, that game should be easier in that respect than this match. However, the league table shows Bury are a better side than Forest Green. At this stage can’t decide which opponent is the tougher.

One of the Wirral Radio guys is now saying Norwood will start, subject to coming through the warm up. We will soon find out anyway.
