Yes, missing Vaughan's physical presence. A scrappy affair as expected with Newport having a lot of the ball but Rovers defending well. We look by far the slicker side when we do get going and we just need a second goal.

Scrappy half apart from the first 5 minutes when we took the lead. They’ve nearly got in a few times and a great block from Clarke denied Maynard. we’ve had some bits and pieces but nothing clear apart from the goal and need more from Nugent to try and hold the ball up that Woolery can play off. Missing Vaughan’s strength against such a strong opponent. Arguably they’ve had the better of the half chances and will feel they should be on level terms.

Newport being typically physical but we need another goal as a long way to go in this one and they will have more chances I fear

Yes, need to keep the work rate up as these are more than capable of punishing us. Spearing has been excellent in the middle and provided great protection to the back four. Keep it going lads and let's get a second!

Very patchy signal here, so missing chunks of the action. Great start. Think the game is being played the way Newport want it now and we’ve got to change that second half.

Early days this half but it’s carrying on like the first. Any long ball we play forward is coming straight back and eventually will mean we’re under a lot of pressure.
