I’m worried about all our games coming up starting with the draw specialist derby v Scunthorpe. On current form it’s optimistic to assume we’ll win that.
I don't think anybody is assuming anything, and I did not mention Saturday's game.

If we don't start scoring goals soon we won't even make the play offs, as we are currently sixteenth in the form table (below Scunthorpe). However, IF we can rediscover the form we have had for the majority of the season since Jackson departed, our run-in does not look as bad as some of our competitors.

Both the next two opponents are draw specialists, with 0-0 and 1-1 being favoured scorelines. We will have to be more potent than we have been recently to win the two games.

It's a cliché, but if we can just keep a clean sheet, we only need one goal to win. We have shown we are capable of that and only poor refereeing and worldies have cost us points, once we have taken the lead. It's all about getting a good start, which we normally do, and taking an early lead. If we can do this in five or six of the remaining games, we will have a good chance of third place.

I think its nigh impossible, given the topsy-turvy nature of this seasons results right across the league, to deem any game winnable. as evidenced by our fairly recent results against Colchester and Grimsby and by those of other teams in or around the current promotion places. If there is one thing Hill does seem to have got right is his focus on taking each game in isolation one at a time. From a positive viewpoint the table as it stands has us in a fairly good position, notwithstanding the fine margins that goal difference could have on the final placings. However the loss of Vaughan, and Spearing (and Davies to a lesser extent) can only add to the uncertainty as to our ability to produce winning results. One hopes that both Vaughan and Spearing may return to bolster the squad before the seasons end but whether this will be in time to effect the final outcome remains to be seen.

The defence has actually tightened up a lot in Vaughan's absence, with the exception of the Cheltenham game, but that has not been enough to glean many victories. Personally, I don't think it is realistic to expect us to keep six clean sheets in the remaining games, particularly as Clarke is struggling a bit for fitness. I think we will have to increase our scoring rate to go up.

Yes, goals win you games and we are woefully short of them at the moment. If we can start scoring goals we may have a chance for 3rd. If not, I think it'll be playoffs again with the only saving grace that Vaughan and Spearing should be fit again. I have to say I don't fancy our chances of 3rd at present.

However, I did think we looked a lot better on Monday with Lloyd playing up front rather than Lewis. We did not score more than one and win the game against a well organised defence and the team top of the league, but I think the first half display would have been good enough to see off a lot of sides. Plus, Vaughan will probably be back relatively soon.

There are peaks and troughs in the form of any team and there is no reason why we can't get back on a winning run, just as Orient, Carlisle and Port Vale have done recently after incredibly poor runs.

We are third with seven games to play and I still think we have a great chance.

We did look better with Lloyd up front and hopefully he will continue there till Vaughan returns, maybe Corey will get a bit more game time too.

Too many of them after over 50 years!
Just a personal choice but I would start with CBT in the side if he could be disciplined enough to know when to cross versus taking the whole team on and attempting to score a fantastic solo goal. However, it would mean that someone would need to be backing him up so as to be in a position to receive a cross....

CBT could be played up front and effectively given a free role, as he was under Dawes and Parky. That way he would not have the responsibility to track back which he has when he plays out wide.

I like that option.

It makes sense but we would need keep the ball on the deck, especially if he was being used alone as our most advanced player. But that would be the only tweak needed rather than the actually formation that we currently use.

Under Dawes we used him as part of a front two in a diamond formation, and he produced probably his best form of the season. That is the formation we used on Monday, so there would not be any real disruption.

However, I thought Lloyd and Woolery did well as a pair against Cambridge and I would guess they will start on Saturday.

Just watched Hill's pre-match interview and I have to say the best by a country mile.....positive vibes towards the supporters....and a hint, just a hint that Vaughan might be on the bench on Saturday, well certainly if Vaughan has any say. C'mon SWA

Actually, just him being on the bench would give the team a lift, even if he waits till the next game to play. It does sound promising. it's the most upbeat I have seen Hill in an interview for quite a while.

Suggestions that MP had a word with Keith about his interviews. Nevertheless, much more inclusive than some of the earlier ones.

Yes, the tone of the interview was much better. He spoke fondly of the great support the SWA gives without having ever heard it! MP probably wrote that bit of the interview!
