A lot of it was either bad device or not quite mentally in the right place. Dale Jennings was a huge talent who just didn't have the drive to succeed. He went to Germany, had no interest in learning the language and snacked on Pot Noodles all day. Still remember him bombing down the wing, taking on five players and slotting it into the net. What a waste.

....Cresswell, Vaulks, Ihiekwe, Power, Norwood

There are some over-performers as well as under-performers in recent history, indeed some of whom would have commanded significant transfer fees in the good old days (of course Cresswell did). That's football, some do and some don't for whatever combination of physical and mental reasons, the luck of making the right move, gelling with the right manager, getting in the right team at the right time.....

Cresswell has done amazingly well. I don’t remember him being a particularly standout performer for us, but he’s been a regular in the top flight for years now. He’s probably learnt a lot over the years and has a good attitude.

A great win for Marine featuring David Raven on penalties at Colchester
Josh Solomon-Davies briefly with Rovers also in the Marine side. Agree with ONIGP that it would be good tie for the 2nd round, but Peterborough still in the draw...

Bailey-Passant in goal and Solomon-Davies in the back 4. Are they ex rovers youngsters?

Yes they were. I think Bailey Passant may have played when we were tonked at Shrewsbury in the EFL Trophy a couple of seasons ago.
