premiership -it cant be about goals...

last season there were on average 2.63 goals per game. if you consider that there are 22 players in a game costing between quarter a billion to a biliion or two, if you add together player value and wages, and cost of running stadium the value is obviously not in seeing goals!! perhaps there should be a radio station for football called VFM.

an article in the BBC site suggests clubs get so much money from tv rights in the premier that they could play in empty stadiums and still make a profit.

That's why most clubs don't care a toss about the fans. It also explains why the EPL have been so keen to play matches abroad.

Whatever you say about Tranmere, the club does care about its fans as much as we care about the club. You may argue it would be great to see Rovers in the Premier League, but it would ruin the club as we know it.
