It seems to have been a bit of a Night of the Long Knives at Prenton Park today.

Butler did some good things on the PR side, but was responsible for appointing Edwards and as BBTC says, his role had become near redundant with the other appointments and the Palios' hands-on approach.

I'm a little puzzled with Chris Shuker as assistant manager, although Micky Adams has worked with him before as a player. Will this see Matt Gill moving on in the transfer window, or does he still have a role in the non-playing side of things?

Said he was a real positive character in the dressing room and I think the whole squad needs a lift so it might be a great appointment.
