Fan Park Update

We continue to move forward with our exciting plans for the new fan park. Our bond investment scheme proved to be successful with approx. £200K invested from around 70 individual people which takes us closer to our target so we can press ahead with the construction.
We are still open to further investment if anyone is interested please contact harrrisonbentrfc@me.com

Following on from last years Crowd funder we are now expecting the delivery of stein glasses this week which will be available for collection only. We will post on social media when they arrive with details of how to collect.

We will be in touch over other rewards that you signed up to when you kindly donated last year e.g. Name on wall plaque, reserved seats, names on arches, launch party ticket, etc.

Our aim over the next 6 weeks is to agree construction costs and then sign off the project with building works starting soon after.
Many thanks to everyone who has contributed to this project we never take your support for granted and it is really appreciated.
Our aim is to have the new fan park up and running early in the 22/23 season.

The Trust is delighted to announce that all parties have signed Heads of Terms Agreements in respect of the New Fan Park.
This marks a significant next step towards the completion of this exciting project. which we hope will not only enhance the much cherished match day experience in the existing marquee (which will remain in place until the new facility opens) at Prenton Park for many years to come, but also provide an exciting new offering and function facility for the local residents, the public of Wirral and visitors from further afield. The anticipated success of the joint venture will also enable the Trust and its members to continue to make a financial contribution to the club and help it progress on the pitch.
Our next challenge is to obtain confirmation from our contractors that events elsewhere have not impacted on their ability to obtain components as advised and complete the project as previously anticipated.
As ever, we are grateful to all those who have supported the project to date, and look forward to confirming a date for the construction process (commencement and completion) shortly

New Fan Park

Work on the mandatory pre-planning conditions set down by Wirral Council has been continuing over the past months. We are confident that we will be able to satisfy the final requirements set by the Council and once all the lease/legal agreements have been signed we will move ahead with ordering the super structure. which will consist of 30 glulam beams, which we anticipate arriving on site in mid January 2023. We also anticipate that groundwork will begin during late November / early December which will require the area to be fenced off.

We would like to thank everybody who has supported this project by donating or investing in our new Fan Park. The process has taken longer than we originally anticipated but once completed (Spring 23), we are sure that our fans will be proud of and enjoy what will be an outstanding new feature at Prenton Park.

New Fan Park

We are delighted to inform you that all the relevant leases with the club, etc have now been formally agreed and that work can now proceed with the new fan park.

Super structure- we will now be ordering this before the end of the year and this will be delivered to site in approx 12 weeks which will be in end March 2023.
Foundations/Drainage- this will be the starting point of the whole project and we anticipate work will start in Feb/March 2023.

Build duration- We expect this to be a 26 week build & completion project and that the new fan park will be ready for the start of the 23/24 season bringing a first class facility to the fans matchday experience and also a hospitality venue to the area that will be open to the public at other times.

We appreciate that the project has taken longer than most of us expected so we thank you for your patience but it will be well worth the wait and one that all Tranmere Rovers fans can be rightly proud of.

I think this will be a decent money spinner for the club, the brewery are going to have a big involvement in it so it should be run well.

I saw a YouTube video by Mister drone today.
It was very strange.
There was no one on site working on the project.
It is now well behind schedule.
Has anyone any information?

We walk past every match day and it doesn't seem to have progressed for ages now.

Sadly that would be so predictable for us if true.. pay in arrears always surely even if the base contract is slightly higher as a consequence.

Fan Park 2

As many of you will be aware, work on our new Fan Park has been slower than we anticipated. For those of you that have passed the structure recently, you will notice that the main structure is built, the floor has been fitted in the front arch, the toilet block has been installed and the building is now watertight.

Since the initial fundraise and the commencement of the construction, numerous unforeseen challenges have been encountered. First and foremost, we lost our driving force behind the project and Chair, Ben Harrison; an irreplaceable figure who worked tirelessly to create a Fan Park that Tranmere fans could enjoy.

In respect of the building itself, the need for footings to be deeper than initially specified increased costs and preparation time. We have also faced challenges with supplier deliveries including rising prices of building materials and equipment, as well as other challenges which many similar projects have faced. This has subsequently meant that we have not been able to open the Fan Park as soon as we initially hoped.

As a result of the delays, we are in discussions with the Club and other stakeholders to continue the work, and get the facility ready to open as soon as practicable. The Trust with the support of the Club are focused on delivering the new fan park as a priority. We would like to thank everybody for their understanding and continued patience. Of course, this project would not have been possible without the fans and we hope that everybody will soon be able to enjoy the new structure that will no doubt stand as a hub in our Tranmere community.
