Matthew Pennington returns on loan until the end of the season thanks to financial support from Tranmere Supporters Trust.

Glad to see him back thought he was improving with games, although we played him right back he is a centre half so covers a couple of positions for us

A good move. As well as providing cover defensively I think he will also add something to our attacking play, particularly in a 3-5-2 formation.

Credit to the Trust for funding this. He did a steady enough job last time. While he might be able to play central defence, at this point of his career and in this league, he is physically better suited to playing right-back.
