It's now two weeks since the last post appeared. Things are very quiet, aren't they?

I did notice today that Stoke have released Sidibe, as many of us had expected. Do you think there is any chance Ronnie will take a punt on him? I know he didn't move any trees for us, but not for lack of effort and he was certainly ring rusty. Did anyone see any potential there?

According to local media sources RM has already stated that he is not interested.

Not much demand for a non-scoring striker with persistent injury problems, who did not even contribute a great deal to general play.

Ryan Lowe and Alan Lee are the names still being touted, both of whom would be good signings.

I agree with RLC re Sidibie.However, is Lowe the answer at 34? The Premier League has issued its free transfer list but it is unlikely that any of them will play for Rovers money! The list is probably incomplete anyway. I cannot believe that Liverpool would only have released three young players plus Carragher. Two of them are goalies I hasten to add not strikers! I imagine Ronnie has been on his hols and contracts only start on 1st July so hopefully we will see some transfer action next week!

I think Sidibe really should think about quitting now.

Certainly don't want Sidibe he is not worth signing, Lowe although 34 still has goals in him at this so would be a good signing Lee im less sure about.

I don't understand Ronnie's obsession with trying to sign some kind of target man. Surely he must have noticed that we played much better without one last season, and when we did play with one our play became one diemensional and we struggled to score.

I agree, but I am not sure Lee is a target man in quite the same mould as Sidibe, Enoch etc.
