Just got a text saying he's signed a new one year player/coach deal.

Pleased about this as I think he had a positive effect on the team when he played last year. Playing with more experienced players in the midfield might give him a boost too.

McAteer in a coaching role sounds good too me. It can only help the younger players :-D

Yes I think he could do well for us especially if he has someone playing in the midfield next to him who does all the donkey work and creates space for McAteer to do what he does best and thats pass the ball... which he can do well when given space and time!
