Steve Coppell. Although I don't think Reading would let him go.

Ronnie Moore. Although I don't think Oldham would let him go.

Ray Mathias and Kelham O'Hanlon would do nicely, although I'm sure neither would want to work for Lorraine again.

Yeah i agree with you but i dont think anyone of those managers would come to the rovers. Steve coppells reading are second in the championship and he has money to spend. We've got no money and our 20th in league one.

I don't think he'll go yet. And if he does it will be when he jumps ship, not because he's been pushed.

Brian is Lorraine's man, for all we know she may have already hit him up for the job before sacking Mathias, who hadn't done this badly before being booted out.

Because both of those people you've named are Tranmere legends as players and have a strong connection with the club??

Why does a Tranmere manager need connections with the club? Surely we should go for the best available, not just a Tranmere legend. Or are you happy in this league playing mediocre football???

The most recent Tranmere players come managers haven't done bad really. King, Aldridge and Mathias, who never really did anything wrong. Anyway, it doesn't matter whether the manager has played for TRFC or not, what matters is how good they are.

Another option to take over would be Mark Wright. Did really well with Chester, getting them back into the football league, and did a good job at Southport, having little budget at the later of the two clubs, which would more than likely be the case for anybody who took over here.
