A trip to The New Lawn up next for the Whites.

After struggling to adapt to League football last season, FGR are looking strong this time around, backed by Vince's millions and with an experienced manager in charge. They have a decent squad featuring some familiar names, such as Scott Laird, Lloyd James, Carl Winchester and Reuben Reid. Gavin Gunning, briefly a Tranmere player during Barnes's disastrous tenure, is also on their books.

Similar to ourselves, Forest Green have been competitive in the majority of matches this season and are the division's draw specialists, which makes the result very difficult to call.

The hosts are strong in midfield and like to pass the ball, so the 451 formation is probably well suited to this game. I would guess we will start with an unchanged line up, depending on the fitness of Adam Buxton.

I am hoping to make the game, but doubt I will be there for the kick off.

Prediction: too close to call, but a draw would be a good result. I think 3-400 SWA will travel.

Every league match so far has been close and I agree with RLC that this is likely to be similar. The romantic in me says Nors will score the winner while Manny is MoM on their return to their former club. My sceptical side tells me we have been scraping wins and draws for a while, so we are due for another defeat. Both sides are strong defensively and have trouble scoring goals, so I reckon 0-0 or 1-0 either way is highly likely.

Not a game to experiment with the line-up. Agree with sticking with 451 and unless there are new fitness issues would go with the same starting xi as Saturday. Mr Coggins the referee was last in the middle for a Rovers game in the NL when he
gave Chester a dubious penalty in a game Rovers ended up winning 2-3.

I see the ref has dished out 59 yellows and 3 reds in 13 games this season! Not a game for Jay Harris then!

What did I say? Harris for the obviously injured Banks but no other changes. Tollit and Williams on the bench.

Was unaware Banks injured and a big loss, particularly with Harris and a trigger-happy ref as drwhoman highlights.

Thought Banks was suspended for an accumulation of yellows?

Sure he got his 5th at Yeovil.

You’re right, hadn’t realised he’d picked up so many bookings already.

Not a great start.

1-0 down after 10 minutes

2-0 down. Davies saves a penalty but FGR follow it up.

Think the commentators have got it spot on...

They've dominated possession and been first to most balls. Could do with a switch up as the midfield has been a bit of a non entity.

Sounds bad. There don’t seem to be that many options to change midfield, maybe move Jennings into the middle and bring on Cole or DMH. Wonder is Williams fully match fit

Our performance seems to be as bad as the crap iFollow commentary, both the ridiculous audio quality and the jokers who would have you believe they are commentating on a game of football but spend more time with stupid tweets and "shout-outs".

Could potentially be worth it.

Think i'm more puzzled is that without Banks our midfield has crumbled in that first half and Harris should be coming in and steadying the ship. Would personally take him off as he's been the least effective of the trio.

All subs are out kicking a ball around so no changes at HT at the very least.

Pretty poor but for the last fifteen. As we suspected he would be, the ref was a joke. You wonder about the fixture scheduling as well. Two lengthy away trips in three/four days. That must have had an impact.

The scoreline does not tell the story. We played a lot of good stuff and created a number of chances but missed them, at key moments. Nors in particular had two when it was one nil. Their first two goals were poor defensively. Happy enough with the performance, a much better game than Saturday.

Hindsight is a great thing but I felt after the long trip to grind out a 0-0 at Yeovil tonight might be a bridge too far. 4th choice left back, splitting the CB partnership again, Sutton playing again after.such a long lay off rather than Ellis. Stockton is a loss to me as I keep harping on about because of the shape. I’ve only seen the twitter feed tonight but regardless of reports it ended much as I expected.

It will be good to get a positive take on the game when you get back, a lot of negativity elsewhere.

Great turnout for the SWA 468 in the wilds of Gloucestershire on an autumn Tuesday night.
