As a point of interest, what would you all prefer - a win today or a win next Saturday? Thinking about it, I’d probably take today with all the positive publicity and the guaranteed extra cash. We could then invest some cash in a couple of decent players to help us in the league.
next week, especially as two down already

I should add even more vital with Ipswich and a resurgent Sunderland up after that

This could get silly. 3-0.

Listening on Three Counties local radio. Terrible defending from set pieces yet again. But in fairness, you can’t cure our problems four days into the transfer window. They need time to gel together.

Their keeper just made his first save from Jennings after 40 mins. Men v boys and the boys are thrashing us.

Clarke at fault for the second goal with an awful pass across our 6 yard box. Not seen the other goals. Hopefully we can keep the scoreline a fairly respectful

Well that was a sorry sight. Watford players spraying it around with ease. Tranmere defending poor, no midfield at all, front two isolated. Maybe bring on another midfielder and take a forward off as both Ferrier and Payne are running around like headless chickens.

First goal was a decent shot to be fair worked from a corner. Mellon will be furious with the second. Clarke with a terrible pass cross pass aimed at Monthe that Watford scooped up with ease. The third again some static defending with four players failing to tackle and Pereyra swerving it nicely around Chapman.

We have done ok in possession of the ball but gifted them the first two goals with very poor defending. Clarke was at fault for the second but has looked decent overall. Watford have been mediocre but clinical.

I think we have done ok in possession. You have to bear in mind the quality of the players we are up against.

if we kept making the same mistakes at work we would not have jobs . its not rocket science . just like beating the first man at corners . drives me mad

Listening to the same commentary as BBTC. Defensive mistakes as already highlighted while the commentary also points out our ageing midfield getting by-passed. Disappointing

I appreciate the 2 league gulf (although we are playing Watford's reserves) but what is disappointing is that we are the only team being put to the sword. Rochdale drew with Newcastle, Carlisle winning at Cardiff and Hartlepool at Oxford. Fingers crossed for a better 2nd half for the travelling SWA who have received plenty of compliments today.

Baffling subs unless there is injury involved.
