Not long back from watching the Reserves play out a 1-1 draw with Wrexham Reserves and frankly cannot understand why we had to sign McGahey on loan when we have better central defensive cover available in our own Evan Gumbs.
No wonder we have no team spirit in the club when we bring in on-loan replacements when there are players in the Reserves who are just as good, if not better, than some of the dross Micky has brought in.
Apart from Gumbs, Omotola - upfront, Jago - midfield, and Moynes - wide right are all worth a place on the bench at least. They certainly would add some fight and passion to the spineless lot that turned up last night wearing white shirts. So called "first-teamers" on display this afternoon included Hume, Ridehalgh, Kirby and Ramsbottom. Of these, Ramsbottom had little to do, Ridehalgh was steady at left back, upfront Hume had some nice touches but is a long way from the player he was first time around. Kirby was totally ineffective in midfield, what Micky sees in him I don't know.

He did ok when he came on after Thompson had to go off at Luton, yet hardly made the bench since. Adams hasn't got much history of bringing on youngsters though.
Did Mitch Duggan play? He seemed to be given a few chances pre-season and Adams did bring him on for a cameo in the Accrington game.

No Boz, Duggan didn't play and neither was he on the bench. He may of course be carrying a knock.
