If Mark is of the belief that we have a title winning squad, then the performances to date are very far from that. How much longer does he give Mike Jackson, given the lack of improvement and excuses are running out?

Given apart from Micky the palios manager choices haven’t been great Mark may be tempted to give Jacko till say 10 games to show something positive

I am not sure about that. The situation is clearly beyond repair in my view.

We have only had one convincing performance all season, at Cambridge. In four out of nine League games the performance has been appalling, on a par with the worst of Barnes, Adams et al.

I would say that performances this season have been worse than at a similar stage under Edwards, and with a squad of players with far greater quality and experience.

I am afraid that if we keep hold of him we are simply wasting precious time until the inevitable happens.

After the Orient game I was raging, after that I am just numb.
We are so poor in the first half of every game, just not fired up. The are plenty of leaders in the team , but not much leadership on show. I would have expected Clarke, Spearing, Feeney, Vaughan et al to be able to organise themselves better in spite of working under a rookie manager. We all said that we needed 2 up top, if only it was that easy. Once again beaten by a team that closed down, ran off ball and covered the ground, not really rocket science.
In fairness Southend could have a a couple in the first half on Saturday.
It won't be easy for Mark to part company with MJ given that Mark is such a nice guy and MJ having a young family and all. All a bit worrying given Marks track record in appointments. Could it get worse ?

Losing is one thing, but we are being comprehensively outplayed, outfought, and made to look like a non-league team by pretty much every team that we have played (bar Cambridge oddly).

One up front isolated not good. Two up front isolated/no service even worse as one man less in the middle. Any formation will struggle if it's too rigid and static. The manager needs to get the players showing aggression, confidence and also making clever runs and giving the lad on the ball some positive options.
Not sure Jacko is the man. Agree with RLC that the squad is good enough and the right manager will get us up the table with the current set up.

Some of the comments from Crawley fans would make you believe they were one step from the Premiership. The sad truth is that our opponents are not that good, but we are so clueless out there we are making even the most standard teams look good. Something has to give because we cannot put up with this tripe for much longer.

Doubt he would cost much to sack AM. If it happens a it’s a real shame as he’s a likeable fella and a very good coach but taking the step up was always a big risk for Jacko and for us

Yes we have the money to sack him. He had a year left on his contract when appointed. I am sure he is now on a rolling contract so we are looking at 3 or 4 months maximum to pay out and he brought in as cheap as chips assistant manager who was unemployed so he will be cheap as well.
More importantly can we afford to continue to have him in charge?
Have tbh issue is is MP confident he can choose a decent manager next time as despite his great efforts stabilising the club his choices aside from MM have been poor.

also, it's very quiet no press conf yet or nothing. wonder if the players are still in the changing room getting massaged or having shampers. oh, I am in a rage tonight my positive thoughts are going down the toilet.

Just saw a clip on FB of Jacko post match.
No need to worry - they’ve had a good chat in the dressing room after the match plus don’t forget there has been a virus going round so we’ve not had much time on the training ground.
