Not a great set of results today. Now 6 points off the play offs and interestingly Walsall who looked so dangerous against us have lost 3 in a row. Another goal for mullin too.
The plot thickens. It was the Colchester chairman who called the game off - unilaterally it seems. https://www.cu-fc.com/news/2021/january/tranmere-update-statement/ He may have made the right call, but surely the referee in consultation with the EFL should have made the decision. Knowing that there was Covid in both camps, could not all players have been given rapid Covid tests by their club doctor today?
There is also a discrepancy between his statement and the one issued by Rovers earlier indicating that TWO rather than several players were showing covid symptoms.

It also does not explain why the match was called off at 1.30 rather than first thing this morning. Surely a decision should have been made before that ?
It seems that clubs can basically make the rules up as they go along, because no proper procedures have been put in place by the EFL and there are no sanctions for clubs that refuse to play.
If the Tranmere players displaying symptoms test positive, our next couple of games could be off as well.
