Bury have begun their recruitment for next season by approaching one extended and extremely large family.
Starting eleven for their friendly today at Nantwich, and entire bench, all named "Trialist".
What's the chances of that?

Genuinely sorry for their old arse fans, the lady in the canteen that's worked their 40 years, the actual club itself.
But the arrogance of the chavvy kno** who danced on our pitch twice, at the expense of people who were owed vast sums of money, does temper that sympathy.

It is difficult to see how they are going to complete the season, or even start it. The lack of leadership on this issue from the EFL has been pathetic, exactly what you would expect from Harvey and co.

Neil Danns, Jordan Archer & Byron Moore are playing not sure why they are named as trialists

I think some are down as trialists as they are out of contract. Crazy situation really.

To hear that there is still outstanding paperwork regarding the last takeover is quite an indictment of the EFL. FFP, Fit & Proper Persons etc … it's all just words and lip service in the EFL. Complete waste of time!

As supporters, we may soon be in the (unprecedented?) situation of having to 'miss' two consecutive home games - 17 August (Bolton) and 24 August (Bury) - due to the opposition forfeiting the match for failing to put out a side!

I laughed this off a while ago but this could actually happen. It's a very worrying situation how two clubs can get into this farcical position.

Is there not a risk that this will have significant cash flow implications for us too?

Don't think it would have significant cashflow implications but I guess we would miss out on any potential revenue over and above the revenue generated from the 4,300 season tickets sold that is amortised over 23 home games. Given that these two fixtures are popular local 'derbies', we would potentially miss the additional revenue generated by an additional 6,000 fans attending each match, assuming that these matches drew crowds of 10,000+ (quite possible). So the ideal scenario would be for these matches to go ahead in front of a bumper 10,000+ crowd with Rovers defeating two below-par (Bury) or disgruntled (Bolton) opposing teams...

My main worry is we'll lose match fitness and momentum. Also, we'll probably drop into the relegation zone temporarily simply through playing two fewer games, although with a positive points total we should be above Bolton and Bury. :)

Yes and what about the season ticker holder who has effectively already paid to attend those games?

Bury join Bolton with -12 points. Going to be long, hard season for them two.

Bolton will be deducted 3 more points for failing to fulfil fixture last season

Under the terms of the CVA 75% of their creditors receive nothing, which is bound to put some local companies out of business.

Absolutely shocking and should not be allowed to happen.
