Very true SWA. He did say the core squad would be trimmed down which would allow younger players to impress. However I get the impression Ronnie is looking to play experienced players, obviously play the ones he's signed and look to the youth for backup.
Looking at NBDH linup there, it's quite exciting seeing new names in there. I'm gladly Ronnie is really shaking things up. I think it would fantastic if we could fill that right wing position with the likes of Shuker. With Ellison on the left also it certainly fits into Ronnies attacking and positive ethic.
Greenacre and Taylor up front is a tasty duo with goals in it, and even the defence looks solid, with Tremarco and Stockdale as wing backs, Linwood (maybe) and Sherriff in the centre, getting rid of the dead wood that is Sharps, Jackson and Goodison.
Even Gavin Ward at 35 is a solid bet in goal to provide cover for Achterberg (lets hope his recovery is going well!).
I wonder who else Ronnie is looking at. I'd certainly like to think he's looking at a creative midfielder as thats one of the areas we are lacking.
