But good news in the sense that Bolton show no real sign of escaping the drop. We can finish below Accrington and still survive.

Time is a great thing. Bolton were a leading team in the old First Division when the previous Accrington club was thrown out of the League in 1962, having won the FA Cup only four years before. We need Bolton to keep losing!

It's fairly unlikely that Bolton will escape the drop, even if the EFL fail in their appeal against the suspended points deduction. Hence any points they can take off other sides who might fill the remaining relegation spots. can only be seen as positive for us. Had Bolton got a draw at Accrington, both would still be below us. While it looks as though Southend are in trouble and Franchise have taken a risk appointing a rookie manager after sacking Tidsdale, neither are nailed on to go down yet.
