Feeney starts at the back. Vaughan plays with Gilmour and Woodyard in the midfield.
no Payne on the bench

No CBT in squad either, so assume Jenno plays wide.
Presumably Wilson fills in for Rides at LB.

Crikey, could be goals for both sides today!
Not sure who in midfield will be the general, but an attacking line up.

Surprised Payne not on the bench which is rammed with midfielders. Good seeing Gilmour starts.

Odd that you would expose your new young loanee to a game when you have changed your personnel so much, and there is no one defensively minded in front of him. A baptism of !!

Woodard is defensive midfielder, didn't take long for the excitement of the cook signing to burst

Bad start but growing into the game. Set pieces need to be better. We wasted corners, free kicks and crosses. Bolton defence not great. Come on rovers!

Just no substance. Defending poor at times letting Bolton run with the ball.

The first half sounded relatively even, but seems like notlob totally on top in the second?

Given the new/ makeshift defence I'd have thought McCulloch would have got the nod to sit in there.
Woodyard will put the tackles in, but not sure he is one who will sit there as a defensive guard.

That wasn't great. The better team won. The scenes getting back to the station were more exciting than the match. Poor and I can't see how Cookie would have made a blind bit of difference today.

Bolton had not won in seven before this one and were dire against Bristol Rovers. They won this because they wanted it more. I didn't see much fight in the Rovers players today. Very worrying.

Same old problems though I'm afraid. Defence were too afraid to tackle at times, midfield never really got hold of the game and the attack were starved of service. Set pieces were awful and the crossing even worse. Not sure if their keeper made a save in the second half?!
