Thanks, Andrew. It's a fascinating article. Ben sounds a great bloke. I admire his honesty in retiring when he did and not just sitting back in the physio's room and taking the money for a year or two. What a shame he couldn't play for us. He'd have been a great asset. I'm not surprised he made a good teacher.

Very interesting article on the BBC website. His career and the two weeks at Rovers (!) and adapting to a new career after football. I remember him here in Sydney when he was on loan to my then local team, the Northern Spirit. an honest hard working centre forward. Shame about his injuries. I am sure he would have done a decent job for Rovers.

Great read, and actually makes more sense because at the time it's a little strange when a player retires who's never played a game for you.
