I saw this on Twitter and thought it useful to share.

Basically, I think we have enough games against poorer teams to stay in the playoffs. The key to top three is the two games against our biggest rivals for the remaining auto places. Fortunately, the games are at home and I think we’ll have to get at least four points from them.

Our home form is pretty good. It’s our away form that’s poor and like @bigmart said in another post, it has to improve starting Sat. I think even at this relatively late stage of the season, it is impossible to know who will make it due to the inconsistencies and the amount of teams still in with a shout.

The poor away form then puts more pressure on the home form and means any slip ups at home are more costly

While agreeing that our away form has been average, we only have four games remaining away from home, and we probably need to win at least two of them.

If there were twenty away matches remaining and we had to win fifty per cent, I would not be confident. However, a couple of victories against poor opposition should be within our capabilities.

My gut feeling is we’ll make the play offs but not the top 3. FGR and Exeter will take the top 2 I think and then it’s one of a few teams for that last automatic place. I’m still not sure we’ll score enough goals over the next 8 games to pick up enough wins but hope I’m wrong!

We are currently headed for the playoffs. If we can hit more consistent form, we may make top three. Realistically, we are relying on the likes of Exeter, Northampton etc. having bad spells.

I think Exeter have a tough run in with several games against top teams including us so they may yet slip up we just have be in a position to capitalise if we do.

I get a bit fed up at times waiting on other teams results to see if they work in our favour. Wish we could just take the bull by the horns and be masters of our own destiny over the last eight games, but I can’t see that happening and the reliance on others dropping points will continue. My bet’s on the lottery of the play-offs for us and I wouldn’t hold my breath on the outcome of that. Relaxing watching Rovers isn’t it! :)

In truth, you could say the same about ten other teams, including Forest Green. It is a very tight division, with very little difference in resources and quality between most clubs in the top half.

True, but let me have my utopian wish for us to break free from the crowd and rise to the top; well, third place would do!

Carlisle and Orient are 2 of the current form teams despite being in the bottom half. If things stay that way then wins at Colchester and Stevenage become absolutely vital.

We would still expect to beat Carlisle at home, and Orient will be on the beach by the time we play them.

Quite simply no I don't think we will go up, I dont see us winning an9ther away game rest of the season. Just hope we winning 3 or 4 of home games as we could well struggle make play offs.

Unfortunately, I don't think we'll even make the play offs this season. There are too many other teams on good runs at the moment, and our remaining fixtures are actually quite tough! I hope I'm proven wrong!

10% chance of automatics; 40% chance of making play offs, 1 in 4 chance if we do? So 20% likelihood of promotion feels realistic.
