with the cost of living going through the roof and Fuel and Tax increases, the club are putting prices up to £22 and paying on day £25, the main stand is £25 and £28 on the day I can,t afford to go to two games a week now, so I will be going few and far between games i know everything is going up for them too but we cant fill the ground now this will scare loads off i hope they know what they are doing

Unfortunately there is little choice for the club, I don't think there had been much of an increase for a few years

When you hold prices for a few years and through a recession, you are only delaying the inevitable. Then it seems a lot to pay. My advice would be to buy an earlyseason ticket or if not get your tickets in advance.

Inflation will be around 8% this year. Club has no choice in my view but it will be a struggle for many fans. Away attendances will be under even more pressure with fuel prices going through the roof....

In the price table Ian links we have the most expensive L2 dearest ticket well over £1k. What do you get for that I wonder...

It is a difficult situation to be in. Inflation is rampant, particularly in relation to fuel/heating, national insurances rises and people don't have the money to spend. Yet the club is obviously strapped for cash too. I dislike the deterrent of the increased price for paying on the day and to make it even greater at £3 more is not something I favour. When I stop having a season ticket, my attendances because of that will become fewer. No easy answers, but I fear the overall effect will actually be reduced income for the club.

I am not sure there is a price increase on the day if you buy online. I think it is purely if you buy from the ticket office.

Sorry, Keith. I don't quite agree. It’s about maintaining a sustainable business. If Palios was only interested in money, he would not have chosen Tranmere to invest his pension in. He has invested more in transforming the club into a viable enterprise, while keeping prices affordable. Covid has held him up, so he needs more cash for the club to survive and for the team to remain competitive. It’s as simple as that.

the season we played Leicester at Wembley we went down to Swindon the week before the price was £23 and that was 2000 so we don't do so bad

No it isn't, look at the prices over the last 8 years or so
yes it is, how has the last 7(seven) years got to do with it!
we were relegated, and in the first year of the national league the club raised prices!
it is about raising income and of course they need an excuse!
if there wasn't the club would have no need to raise prices!
it is all about .money and nothing else!

Prices have been frozen for so long, in an effort to help supporters, that an increase next season was unavoidable, given the huge spike in inflation.

I disagree with that statement!
it has increased from £16 to £22 since we were relegated to VNL. In the kop for an adult on matchday

Stand prices have e increased by at least twice that.

And do not forget in the last five years,, the the quality of food and subsequent outlets has gone from ok to shocking!
We have gone from fresh to frozen food!

Also the beer has not improved overall! Bar prices have shot up!

But it is on!y about the money!
And the club would be struggling without outside investment!
But you keep believing, we are not in serious monetary trouble and money will be the foremost topic on the board's agenda!
As always!

Football is secondary to the business and we the supporters are paying the price from the failure of the majority of projects that have failed! Futsal to name one!
Without the support and supporters trust, volunteers, the club would be in turmoil!

You wouldn't believe the truth about the owners, if they told you themselves, but I think I'm wasting my time and breath!
I would rather have PJ back!

Your preferred model is reliance on a sugar daddy?

Re individual match prices, I like the fact that I can watch a game at PP for £19 - less than the cheapest tickets at some VNL grounds, and even (at least) one in VNL North.

Despite the hike, we’ll still be amongst the cheapest in the EFL next season.

That doesn’t sound like a rip off to me. And certainly not ‘paying the price of failure’, whatever that is.
