Disappointing to hear there was apparently some fighting amongst the fans near the JK statue after the game yesterday. Why they don’t keep the away fans in for a while at the end of the game is beyond me, especially when they have plenty and have equalised late on
Violence seems to be an increasing trend in English soccer. I see Foden was threatened and abused after their loss yesterday. Maybe, Covid stress, no jobs, the increased inequality in society, who knows. Johnson with his self entitled parties, maybe, but a disturbing problem.

I’m watching the weather for personal reasons too as I’ve entered a local half marathon on Sunday. Hopefully Eunice will have gone, but there still may be heavy showers.
Just to let you know I nailed it yesterday. A hilly route of 13.1 miles. Not bad for a 74 year old with heart and lung disease! I raised over £1,200 for local health projects.

Absolutely fantastic that BBTC. Hats off to you. What’s football when there’s causes such as those you raised money for. Keep it up!

Drugs at matches is a continued issue, and will definitely be a catalyst for the rise in aggressiveness and violence. I was at Chelsea a few weeks ago and the queue for the gents cubicles at half time was ridiculous. Seems that this is now part of certain peoples football day out routine. Used to be a few pints and a match.

I think the drug issue is more of a Premier League thing to be honest. I have not seen much evidence of it at League Two grounds.

Northampton travel to Scunthorpe tonight and are almost certain to overtake us, as Scunny are hopeless.

I am not expecting Keef to do us a favour, but even a draw would be a decent result for us.

Yeah. It would be annoying if we lost second spot but almost inevitable after the last couple of results.

That's a very naïve statement. It happens absolutely everywhere, non-league to premier league. maybe not so obvious at the grounds, probably more likely in the pub / on the train beforehand!

I have not seen people queueing to take drugs in the toilets in the Johnny King Stand, which is what you referenced earlier. I know drugs are taken within society, but that was not what you were referring to.

It is a different culture at most lower division grounds, with more of a family atmosphere than a club like Chelsea.
