Another difficult and uninspiring draw. We won at Crawley though so it’s a winnable game

Much more difficult than Crawley though, as Orient are a decent side.
Orient have the second highest goal defence in the league (13) we have a GD of “1”
I think we will need to play a better game than we played at Crawley !

Agree a terrible draw for Rovers. Disappointing draw generally, there were few stand out ties.

How many easy games are there, even in the FA Cup? Do you think Orient are delighted with the draw? We often struggle against non-leaguers but do better against league opposition.

I expect us to be in good form by the time the game is played in four weeks and there will be a lot of the Southern SWA there in addition to the normal travelling support. It promises to be a memorable occasion and I for one am looking forward to it.

I reacted with dismay to the Orient draw for two reasons.

Firstly it’s going to be a difficult tie with the Os having an experienced manager and reasonable home form. That’s not to say we can’t win it but a higher bar to cross than Crawley methinks.

More crucially our cup draws in all three competitons have been very boring. Aside from Leeds kids every game has been against a L2 side and we’re meeting Oldham for the second time tonight.

as long as we win and get loads of cash, and the club can bring in a few players I don't care who we play

A third reason for groaning, is that it is a five hundred mile round trip for the regular away supporters, sandwiched between games in Crawley, Bristol and Exeter......

I seem to remember that back in the day the first two rounds used to be regionalised. It's a shame they changed it.

Yes, I agree. I am against regionalisation generally, but I think it makes sense in the early rounds of the FA Cup.

I think the change was relatively recent. I am pretty sure it was still regionalised in the Eighties.
