Noticed Ben Tollitt scored twice for NLN Fylde at the weekend.

If he can stay fit and do well league clubs will be sniffing round him possibly
Time is on his side as he's not 27 for a few months, I hope so for him but think he probably only go 1 step higher.

As a winger, at 26 he should be at the peak of his career but sadly it’s the opposite. You have to ask why. He has struggled for consistency with every club. I’d love him to succeed as he is a talented player, but history does not indicate that he will.

I think the injury he sustained at Rovers ruined his career, similar to James Wallace.

Paul Mullin scores a penalty on his Wrexham debut, but sadly our neighbours concede a last minute equaliser.

I never rated him at Tranmere, I thought he was quite frankly rubbish and playing well above his level a few years ago. Funny old game..

I still don't think it could ever have happened for him here. Or at Carlisle or Hearts......

Morecambe seems to be the kind of low pressure environment that suits him.

Stockton is a surprise. His best spell for us was Micky’s first season. If he’d stayed rather than going to Hearts (and who could blame him) think MM could have improved him. Bringing him back after the spell away didn’t work though. Glad things have come good for Cole though.

If he keeps banging them in then some bigger clubs could come knocking…maybe he’ll be in the championship next!!

Good for him if he does!! I assume that when he signed his new Morecambe contract there would have been an automatic release clause for offers from Championship clubs over x amount....

I watched him a few times for the youth and reserves scoring goals wasn't a problem.
But his biggest problem I thought he always wanted to score a screamer with his right foot, so he was reluctant to get in the box.
The big change is he's getting in better areas to snap up chances.
He is a strong striker, that can hold up the ball and get midfield forward more.
He is ideally suited to play in a forward position in something like a 4-5-1.
Good luck to him, he seems settled at Morecambe. It's showing in his performances.

As far as I can remember, there was always a player senior to him, he got an offer from Hearts, he couldn't refuse and at that time they were a poor team.

I always liked Cole. He had a decent presence in and around the box and invariably managed to get a shot away. As KHB points out he was rarely first in the pecking order which after x years at the Club didn't help his development. He was never the finished article when he was with us but is looking more so now. The treatment he received from a section of Rovers' fans was nothing short of disgraceful (and embarrassing). I do think a step up to Championship is beyond him but wish him all the best.
