It’s a tricky one but if we are to have any chance of going up this season then I think Dawes and Parky could give the players the lift they needed, just like they did after Jacko left. I’m normally quite patient but Hill has clearly not been good enough since Vaughan got injured and has been unable to find a formula. Other decisions like signing players like Kirby, Nugent and Crawford who have all been failures and giving CBT a few minutes here and there have meant I’ve lost confidence in him.
FGR won today which is I think their first game since sacking cooper. Will Palios think the same could apply to us?

What is incredibly frustrating is that even in the last week, if we had taken four points from the last two games rather than one, which was perfectly achievable, we would be back in the thick of the automatic promotion race, let alone the play offs.

There is a huge opportunity here for the club which is being wasted because our form is so appalling. I don't think we can grasp that opportunity without making a change at the top.

Just watched the post-match interview and quite frankly the drivel coming out of him just beggars belief. Are the Palios' not also listening to this week in week out? Surely they have to acknowledge now that this man is not the future of OUR club. Dawes and Parkinson have earned the chance to salvage something from this season, they should be given that opportunity NOW.

think he will keep him but even if we made the playoffs with his tack ticks we would not win them

this is a good point. We’ve seen that all those names people wanted eg Adkins. Cook and Cowley’s got decent league one jobs. If hill does go and it doesn’t work out with Dawes and Parky then where do we go? Do Parky and Dawes even want the job full time? If we assume not then who is out there apart from the usual names banded about.
Keith has promotions from L2 on his CV and we’re still in the mix so I’ll be amazed if he’s fired before the end of the season, despite our current poor form

Don’t forget the play offs are a bit of a lottery. Admittedly if we’re not in good form leading into them then I’ll be worried but over one off games the form book can be turned upside down

If Dawes and Parkinson succeeded for a second time they would get the job permanently. There are other options out there, including Challinor, McGreal and so on. You don't keep an inept manager because of fear of change.

There is no way I would want Hill here next season based on what I have seen so far. For a start, would you trust him to rebuild the squad over the summer based on his January recruitment ?

I agree that Palios probably won't sack Hill yet, but I think that is because he won't want to admit he got the appointment wrong and then can let Hill go quietly in the summer. His programme notes today suggest he is not at all happy.

The play offs are unpredictable, but it is generally the team in form that wins them. We are currently in relegation form.

One of the reasons I would like Dawes to take over is that he would only have to repeat his performance in October and we would be promoted. We would not be asking him to manage for thirty odd games.

i think if hill takes us up then it’s inevitable he’ll keep his job. Which to be fair with all his faults, would be job done as far as Palios is concerned.

If we don’t go up then I’d probably agree with you

In all honesty, can you see us winning another game till the season is out? We can’t score goals so we won’t win games. A change is needed based on this and Parky/Dawes would be the obvious choice although I think they will also struggle without a fully fit Vaughan. Maybe we can guarantee playoffs with a change; something we cannot say with the current setup.

He would definitely keep his job because it is written in to his contract. However, that outcome looks extremely unlikely and a decision has to be made now.

Too many of them after over 50 years!
Dawes and Parky are part of the current management team. Why isn't the team performing for them? Is it a case of Hill implementing poor team formations? inadequate replacements for Spearing, Davies and Vaughan? a lack of natural goalscorers? , too many out of position? a manager who seemingly can't raise the roof at poor performances? Too many players who appear to lack a winner's mentality? players confused at the tactics? A n other?

Dawes and Parkinson were part of the management team under Jackson too. It is Hill that has the final say on every decision, and there is only so much they can affect as assistants.

His comments are laughable and frankly I find him annoying now with the total rubbish he comes out with

The fact is we have won 1 game in 10 and scored 1 in 5, We have CBT who has pace and can score goals but play Lewis up top although it was Morris today, not sure why CBT is not let loose when Daws and Parky got into his head and let him go he was great, hill keeps saying he wants goals from all over the park but we don't create enough and don't get enough bodies in the box, all the crosses we get in at times go to wast, the whole team look like the confidence has gone
