Jolley on the bench too. Wonder if we'll see him today.

The team I would have expected. A shame no CBT or Ferrier if the game is going against us but trust in Keith

yes it sounds like it. What a waste. All the more reason we need Nugent up to speed as quick as we can in case Vaughan picks up any knocks

Bit surprised Ray ahead of Ridehalgh on the bench but otherwise as expected.

Yes, we look a bit light at centre forward, hence Jolley on the bench today.

Surprised no Ridehalgh, as he could cover for all defensive positions unlike Ray or O'Connor. Reasons for leaving players out we rarely hear. It could be a bit of "bench rotation".

CBT and Ferrier surely can't be Covid victims, so I think they must be on the naughty step still. It's crazy and benefits nobody except perhaps our opponents.

Vale are without injured club legend Tom Pope and our ex-loanee David Amoo. Pope's views on L2 are interesting. He thinks we will go up and says Southend (who Vale beat 5-1 last Saturday) are the worst professional side he has ever seen.

loads of opinions on the forums before we appointed KH as to we would have preferred as manager but the more I hear him speak the more he,s here (hope I don't jinx him) comes across as a real manager no bull just honest answers

Vale fans not too happy with their defensive line-up today.

I agree with BBTC, Ridehalgh more versatile option than Ray, both played reasonably in the Pizza Cup game.

O'Connor was outstanding though and deserves a place on the bench.
