Kahn has his advantages at right back, so I am not sure I would dispense with him on the back of tonight's game. McPake would give any full back at this level a tough game.

Khan will be tested on Saturday against the likes of Adam Phillips but can’t see Hill changing a winning team unless he has to

Hard to believe after that performance that Harrogate lie in lowly 20th. 7 wins this season but 6 have been on their travels

I am still surprised Hill did not make some changes tonight, or at least bring the subs on earlier. The senior players looked shattered in the last half an hour, and it is a big ask for them to play a top of the table game on Saturday.

Agreed. Despite the win, I don't think he game-managed things well, which may have consequences if we start with the same xi at the weekend

In his post match interview he suggests he considered changes for tonight but the players persuaded him not too. Whereas I suspect for an away game at in form morcambe who won at Exeter tonight (who tonked is a few weeks ago), it may well be different

I think KH mentioned a few weeks back it's either RB for Khan or bench warming. He wants him in the team but can't fit him into the midfield at present. He has played quite well in that position to be fair.

I think I'm starting to understand KH. He seems like quite a complex character. Quite understated. Never gets too carried away or excited but he talked a lot of sense there and is quite upfront and honest in what he says. I quite like the way he goes against the grain especially when Derek Jones asks him the easiest leading questions, he seems to want to give a harder answer or different take on it instead of monotonously agreeing with him.

I agree Ian. I’ve not seen many managers like Keith in terms of how he answers questions.

also looking at the corners tonight, when was the last time we scored from 2 in one game you can see that there has been some training on the training ground esp the second one where the near post flick on led to the goal, the type of goal we used to get from a Kingy team.

Khan takes risks which another defender wouldn’t, though so far he’s got away with them. Doesn’t say much positive for KH’s view of O’Connor, which is baffling. As others have pointed out we got Kirby because we were short of attacking midfielders. It doesn’t make much sense to use one at full-back.

anything more said about CBT?

Kahn offers a lot more on the ball than a regular full back when he comes out from deep positions and is very important to the way we play at the moment. He struggled defensively last night, but so would any League Two right back against their talented winger on loan from Rangers.

We have played three games with Kahn at right back and won all three.

Vaughn now has 17 in 26 games not bad going and 14 in the LG
Only Mullin has scored more in League 2 than Vaughan. When you take into account that James has played fewer games their stats are very similar.

nothing more about CBT. Shame Keith wasn’t asked about it after the game last night. I assume the deadline is Sunday night so he could go anytime between now and then if he is leaving

Yes Khan has had his questionable defensive moments but the facts are we have a 100% success rate with him at RB. But I share some of Bozs concerns especially with a very tough game on the horizon on Saturday.

Most of the goals we have conceded have come down our right hand side, not saying it's all doto Khan but I would be happier with a recognised right back.
