The match stats suggest that Stevenage are having more goal attempts, don’t know if that’s a fair reflection of the game overall?
No, we have had the better chances, but we have not created enough given the possession we have had.

Come on KH, this has 0-0 all over it. Make some changes.

Final balls, set pieces have been wasteful.

Rovers still the better side and a few half chances but still not enough for a side chasing promotion.

need more pace up there. Get CBT on.

agree. We’ve had 4 men in the box a few times but the cross doesn’t get past the first man

Lloyd on for banks

Or maybe Lloyd, who’ll apply pressure and could make things happen.

We are not a promotion chasing side, we look anything but.

2 points dropped overall and a disappointing result. As with plenty of league games of late we’ve had plenty of the ball in the opponents final third but we’ve been toothless. Their keeper made a few saves but not enough over 90 minutes.

I’m a big fan of McDonald but his delivery today was very poor. Does Hill know his best team yet? We have all these attacking players but I don’t think he knows what system or personnel is best.
That’s one win in 6 I think now and we could have lost it at the end with their late pressure. Very frustrating.

That was an awful game with very little quality in the final third. Promotion? We've got no chance on that showing.

A mediocre performance.

The second half followed a similar pattern to the first, with Rovers having lots of the ball but not showing enough creativity in the final third. Hill made some positive substitutions but did not change the shape of the team, and the 433 formation with Vaughan on his own up front simply did not work. He was too isolated, with the wide players miles away from him for the most part. I still struggle to see what our pattern of play is in the attacking third, and how we intend to break the opposition down and create chances.

As Sparky says, Hill still seems to have no idea what his best eleven or even his preferred formation is, and the constant changes of personnel can't help matters, not all of which is influenced by Covid. He has had more than ten games in charge now and we should have progressed further by this stage.

Individually, I thought Manny had a decent game aside from one stray back pass, Ferrier was busy but does not offer enough in the final third, Clarke and Spearing were solid, and Lewis was anonymous again, other than giving away a string of free kicks.

Not good enough overall, and we look a million miles away from a promotion challenge.

Five points in 18 and some other midtable sides on good runs are going to make mounting a promotion challenge very difficult. We surely have the quality, but we have to win matches like that to have any chance of League One next season.

Hill is taking us backwards, we have little creativity and dont score enough. If anybody thinks we will challenge for promotion under Hill then they are seriously mistaken.

what must MP be thinking he wants promotion but with the way, things are going there is no chance in hell, 2 wins in 7 games just are not good enough, also we just don,t score enough it's very frustrating

A lot of those games have been against poor, struggling teams as well, whereas we have a lot of the top sides to play in the coming weeks, starting on Tuesday night.

Maybe the teams near the top of the table will bring the best out of our players.

A disappointing result, though doubtless the manager will claim otherwise. As we didn't concede, guess Khan did ok as a makeshift right-back? Let's hope our home league form picks up again in the absence of fans...
