The Manchester Evening News report presents Rovers as very physical singling out Ollie Banks who “takes a break from trying to kick every City player in sight” to convert the penalty. I didn’t think it was that physical though Delap could certainly look after himself and Banks didn’t seem to merit that remark.
What a load of rubbish, the poor little darlings didnt like being tackled then.

Lloyd reminds me of harris in the way he always runs hard and drives at the defense but has more about him goals assists should start coming, also was good hearing what hill had to say

There is more than a touch of arrogance in those comments. 'How dare you tackle our little darlings !'. Either they want a physical match that truly replicates the men's game, or they don't.

Perhaps they should just get out of the competition as most lower division supporters want them to.

I did think it was interesting that they flagged quite badly in the second half and their fitness did not seem great, despite the resources lavished on them.
Quite right RLC. I would have thought that the whole purpose of putting under 21 sides into this comp is o toughen up perceived ‘quality’ young players so they are better able to withstand the rigours of senior football. It can never be assumed that they will win. Many lower league players are only marginally less capable than the perceived super stars!

To be fair to Manchester City it was the MEN's Joe Bray who wrote the comments rather than the club.

Leicester at home next round. Nice to be at home and think we played them last season
