Rovers host Cole Stockton’s Morecambe side on Saturday in a game which if it goes against us will heap evenmore pressure on Jacko and MP. The shrimps parted ways with long serving manager Jim Bentley in the summer and former Plymouth man Derek Adams took over and enjoyed a positive start to the season sitting top in October. Since then results have dipped a bit and they currently sit 12th having won 4, drawn 1 and lost 4 of their 9 games. In Adam Phillips they have a real talent and the likes of Stockton and former Crewe man AJ Leitch-Smith can score at this level. This is winnable though as Morecambe have lost 3 out of their last 4 and conceded 19 league goals in their 9 games so far. Another opportunity for rovers they have to take.

Team news for rovers suggests apart from Ferrier Jacko has a strong squad to choose from. Monthe and Woolery returned to training yesterday and the former may feature given the 4 goals we conceded on Tuesday. Would be nice to see CBT getting some action but the big question is whether Jacko keeps 2 up front or sticks with just Vaughan hoping he won’t be isolated. The tactical And shape issues Obvious to many rovers fans will surely have been worked on this week and the SWA will be hoping we don’t see more first half substitutions which have been a feature of the season so far.

Prediction: it could go either way but a draw wouldn’t be a surprise.

Another awful game coming up. We might get a goal if we can manage a shot on target and then up pops Cole with a hat-trick.

In all seriousness we should be beating these comfortably but I can't see it.

I've gone for a draw but have absolutely no idea how this could turn out. If we click we could win 4-0. If we don't, based on reports of our recent form, we could lose 4-0. I would not be massively surprised at either result. @Ian is right, we should be beating these comfortably and I bet 100% of our fans would have had this down as a home banker when the fixtures came out.

No doubt they've all be working hard on the training ground and they know what they need to do, and they'll go into this game with a positive mindset blah blah..

Another awful game coming up.
There is nothing like optimism !

In all seriousness, I am finding it hard to raise much enthusiasm for these games.

I have no idea what the team or tactics will be, but suspect we might start with two strikers and surely Feeney can't be used at wing back after Tuesday's debacle ?

Morecambe start the game as strong favourites, given that our only victories have come against whipping boys fielding youngsters.

7 votes so far; 4 draws and 3 defeats! Who'd have thought … against MORECAMBE … at HOME …? If anything demonstrates how shot our confidence is in our team, that does.

I am afraid that in my opinion, the style of football MJ has us trying to play is only going to result in further losses and will continue to be horrendous to watch. Any team, and i just cant see that changing. The warning signs were there in pre-season but we gave him the benefit of the doubt in that we hoped it was just about fitness at that time. Little did we know that 9 games into the season we would still be subject to such negative dross.

Surely the players must be voicing their concern at how they are being told to operate. Let them play football rather than just put 100% into defending at hoofing the ball forward to no-one at every opportunity. I have no doubts that the players we have could pass and run most teams off the pitch, so please god, let them have a go!!!

I don't think it matters who jacko picks or what formation he comes up with to me the players need to put any doubts they may have in MJ and just put a performance in, just glad at the minute we are not allowed to witness the performances in the ground, going for 1-0 more in hope than anything else

Forecast pretty bad tomorrow morning (all junior Wirral football pitches cancelled), although we do have a great pitch lol so hopefully it’ll be ok.

We only have Payne and Ferrier out now so Jackson (and the team) have no excuses.
I still think we can turn this season round but we cannot afford for this to go on for much longer. Worst result would be a terrible performance where we scrape a draw and we then limp on through November collecting a few points here and there....
Score could be anything - who knows what formation or team performance will turn up. Stockton is bound to score mind you so I do not expect a clean sheet:)
If we lose badly MP needs to act immediately IMO.

ADD, we lost badly on Tuesday and Mark didn't take any action. I get the impression that it will take a string of bad results before that position alters.

Like RLC, finding it really hard to get fired up about our games at present. Morecambe are punching above their weight, despite a recent slump and have a competent manager in Derek Adams. It shows how bad things are that I'm quite relieved Cole Stockton isn't playing.
