it's great to have the two lads up top now let us get the goals. and as for the pitch spending over 1mill on it should be great

In fairness, it is particularly difficult this season as neither Woolery or Feeney had a proper pre season before arriving here.

Ohh that's a bit of a blow. On the plus side, we do have two strikers on the pitch. Midfield need to give them some decent service.

I agree it will be nice to see how a 442 goes. That said Feeeney is a blow for sure. Woolery will be also if if he is out for long as I didn't expect he would have started today anyhow.

Have to wonder if it was a mistake picking such a strong xi for the EFL Cup. Woolery always seems a bit injury prone. Good starting 2 up, but not many options on the bench.

Gutted feeney and Woolery are injured. Two strikers but can we create enough in middle?

I think Woolery had to play on Tuesday to build up match fitness. He seemed to pick up a knock in a block tackle which was unrelated to the original injury.

Indeed. Feeney's final ball has been excellent but Khan and Morris have not quite produced in that regard yet.

disappointing first 40mins in terms of going forward and as suspected we created very little.
Payne off for Lewis presumably injured meaning Vaughan on his own up top. Khan and Morris have both been quiet but it was Lewis whose run set up Vaughan for a Tidy finish giving rovers the lead at the break.

As strong as we are at the back Loft is a handful so we need another.

Payne looked to be struggling a bit before the kick off so no surprise he went off. We need a bit more from the creative players. If we can feed Vaughan, he will get goals. Scunthorpe look fairly average but like Sparky says, we could do with another to make this more comfortable.

I think it was probably a tactical decision to take Payne off. He was not holding on to the ball and was poor, and we have looked more solid with five in midfield. Lewis has done OK.

As Mart says Scunny are there for the taking. They haven’t won away in 18 games

Well-worked and finished goal from Rovers after a poor first half where the visitors had the bulk of the possession. Lewis at least is pressing in midfield, some of the others have been too casual in that area.

Goalll! 2-0 Rovers. Vaughan with a nice side foot into the net after the keeper punches to the edge of the box.

Should have been 3. Vaughan with a stinger after the keeper fumbled it hit the defenders back and went over. Resulting corner Manny free from 2 yards and heads it over. Much better second half.
