Only following on twitter and bbc stats but sounds like all Mansfield in second half.

@Boz, got picture on 69 minutes but that much buffering it could be a very late finish!

Payne on for Vaughan with 30 seconds left.

0-0 full time score. Perhaps not a surprisingly scoreline but would have taken a point before kick off. Mansfield May be happy as they lost their two cup games on aggregate 0-7 so a first clean sheet for them.

We came for a point and took it. Not a great game but a decent point to start the campaign.

Sounded like a decent save from Scottie at the death. Like Sparky, I’d have taken a point before the game, so fairly happy.

Happy with a point, we really need a couple more options up front to compete at top end of table.

Indeed. Another up and down performance but a decent result.

I thought we started the first half poorly, going from back to front too quickly and by-passing midfield, which allowed Mansfield to get on top with their physicality and emphasis on set plays. Manny was roughed up by Cook early on and looked nervous, while Davies was lucky to get away with an error which resulted in Mansfield hitting the bar. However, midway through the half we settled and started to play through midfield, and I thought we looked the better footballing side when we kept the ball on the floor.

The second half followed a similar pattern. A really poor fist twenty minutes where Mansfield got on top of us physically, although we defended our eighteen yard box well and they did not create much. Jackson deserves some credit for recognising we were struggling and switching to a 352 formation, and we looked pretty comfortable for the remainder of the game.

Could we have brought Payne on when we changed shape, to go for the victory ? I could understand Jackson not wanting to lose his first game, in what looked a tricky fixture on paper, but I think in the long term we have got to get somebody alongside Vaughan. On today's evidence I am not actually convinced Mansfield are one of the better sides in the division, as they were very direct and reliant on Cook's physicality.

For me a poor game between two poor sides with Mansfield the worst of the 3 sides we have played so far. Lucky to get away with a Davies flap and miss the result of which was the ball coming back off the underside of the bar. Some suggestion that the ball had crossed the line from our commentators but I didn't think so.
Rides played great again - Manny was poor and I would expect when Ellis is fully fit he will replace him. Thought O'Connor and MacDonald looked a bit lightweight today against a physical side as pointed out above. Khan did well I thought again whilst Banks was hit and miss. Morris not as involved as on Tuesday.
Jackson clearly came to get a point and got that - bringing Payne on with fully 40 seconds to go said it all as did Davies time wasting throughout the second half and as despite seeing how poor Mansfield were Jacko showed no real intent to try and win the game. Yes a point isn't a bad result don't get me wrong but I think Mansfield will be nowhere near the playoffs based on this performance and I think if we had played 2 up front or switched to that we could have won this game so disappointed we didn't go for it.

Jacko in his after match interview sounded hopeful of a new signing early next week.

I know a few Blackpool fans and they all said the same thing that he was strolling through a lot of games last season. we need someone who is making changes for the front lads we have not done much of it in three games and we played against a reserve team in midweek. we need pace and creativity
