What that means to me is at best a season coming up where we should expect to finish mid table at best
That’s probably a more realistic expectation due to the fact that we have a new, untested manager and a set of new players (eventually!).

A mid table finish would hardly be a disaster, but given that we have not begun recruiting yet we don't really have much idea how we will perform.

The vast majority of clubs are in the same position as us and there is no guarantee that the small minority who are spending recklessly will occupy the top spots, as several of them are poorly run in other respects (Salford finished tenth last season, Mansfield narrowly avoided relegation to the Conference and Bolton are an accident waiting to happen).

I follow Jamie O'Hara on Instagram and Woodyard is training with Billericay this week.....getting himself ready for a move up north next week I reckon!
That's a relief. He surely won't be signing for them, although after Jennings and McCullough, I suppose anything's possible. ;)

As he is currently without a club he will have to keep himself fit somewhere, so I don't think it necessarily implies he is signing for us (although I obviously hope he does).

Lol, because Billericay is a well trodden training ground for impending Rovers' signees?!

I am not sure as to the geographic distribution of Covid cases in England but might this influence where players are prepared to go?

Money will have the final day in majority of cases.

some fans need to look at the bigger picture
Maybe, but I've not even heard any other names mentioned as potential central midfielders. I'm sure plenty is going on away from the public glare but all the talk has, quite reasonably, been around Woodyard.

According to TEAMtalk Exeter, Blackpool, Plymouth and Crewe are all interested in Caprice. Personally I think that he could do a job for us in L2 but slightly surprised at the level of L1 interest.

Reports that Woodyard is signing for Wimbledon.

That would be hard to stomach.
