Not sure how it is better for our visibility on the Wirral, attendances and future prospects that they win. But hey ho.

A lot of our international business activity has been promoted using our proximity to Liverpool. I think it must have a positive effect.
The city of Liverpool yes, but I am not sure what that has to do with Liverpool FC.

We are de facto in competition with them for support on the Wirral. Their presence makes our life much more difficult.

Well deserved though. They've been excellent all season.

Agreed. They have an incredible manager and sit alongside the best teams to have graced English football. First and last comment on the subject …

Yes, I agree. I don't dispute the quality of the football they play.

Yes, I see social distancing was put aside for the night!

Spearing is a busy player and would probably be a good replacement in our rather aged midfield. While he is no spring chicken he is probably closer to 30 than our existing midfield players! I think he was at Bolton previously but whether he would want to go back there is a moot point. Sadly, my main memory of him is him gifting Chelsea a goal in the Cup Final a few years ago when he was at Liverpool!

Spearing was reputedly a Tranmere fan. Not that it would make him take a major pay cut to come here.

Yes, he was born in Wallasey and could be a White. His contract has just run out and Blackpool offered an extension which he refused. If Blackpool couldn't offer him an acceptable deal in L1, I doubt we could in L2.

You are probably right BBTC but maybe he has enough of commuting to Blackpool for training every day? I doubt if he will have moved there. We will see!
