I don't know if anybody else watched this tonight but it was interesting. The Palioses said they could not comment too much on the legal situation as it is ongoing but asked supporters to focus on the positive things they can contribute to next season, such as the season ticket purchases.

MP thinks the bottom two divisions will not return behind closed doors and expects we might be able to play in front of crowds with reduced capacity in October.

He said a wage cap is likely to be introduced and clubs will not sign players until much closer to the start of the season. He thinks it will be a buyer's market as there is so little money around, which will benefit us.

MP said if we end up In League Two he would be surprised if we were not challenging for promotion.

Yes a very good watch and reminding me what good owners we have. From memory mark said we have 10/11 players under contract and offering new contracts to others is difficult as no one knows exactly when the season will start. Do we want to offer a new deal from 1 July but season doesn’t start until say January? Mark is hoping for October and mentioned distancing at PP may be implemented if so.

Santini Group helped find the new pitch and now own 21% of the club, with the option to go to 30%.

fair play to the club also for offering refunds on season tickets for the unplayed games.

I thought it was a very considered and mature presentation notwithstanding their (and our!) anger with the muppets at the EFL! We are very lucky to have Mark and Nicola as owners of the club.

I think ten is a good number of players to have under contract at this stage. It gives us the core of a squad but we won't be overburdened if the start of next season is delayed significantly.

It was interesting that MP thinks the bigger Championship clubs are most likely to go bust because of the huge contracts they have handed out, something that has been mentioned on here previously.

For the all the moaners and doubters (none on here of course!) I would say listen to Mark's 5-min summary at the end of the interview. Realise how far we have come as a club in recent years, look at the obstacles thrown at us, look at where we are now and how we will come through this with real astute owners that care about the club. Mark's positivity is fantastic and we are lucky to have them. I'm also itching to see this fantastic pitch..

I agree that it was an encouraging session in many ways and we are lucky to have such an intelligent and committed pair running our club. The communication with supporters has been excellent.

One note of concern was the situation with contracts expiring. I got the impression that because of the uncertainty about when the new season will start, that none of those out of contract will be getting offers at this point, as potentially we’ll be paying them to do nothing if the season starts late or not until next year. This is sensible on economic grounds, but it seems other L2 teams and not just the wealthier of those have made offers to out of contract players. Might this prove a difficulty going forward, especially given a couple of those still under contract had fallen out of favour.

Did I hear correctly that Mickey is on furlough? Where does he fit into all this then? I imagine he is still involved but is simply not at work?

I don't see this as a major issue as NP explicitly said that no clubs she is aware of are offering contracts at this moment. She said that 99% of current player rumours have been made up by agents.

At the time, what they were saying seemed to make perfect sense. Just a bit of a surprise that other forums suggest out of contract players in L2 have been made and in some cases accepted new offers from their clubs.

I would trust that their knowledge of the market is greater than that of supporters spreading rumours on forums. Has a single League Two club announced a new signing yet ?

It was mildly interesting but unlike some here I found it a bit underwhelming if I am honest. Obviously the timing wasn't great not being able to definitively able to comment on legal matters which certainly didn't help. To me it also smacked a little about trying to soften up the supporters for the fact we won't sue as despite all the comments early on about legal action, Nicola made a comment near the end of the broadcast which to me suggested that we would not be going legal unless of course it was a deliberate double bluff in case any EFL stooges were watching!!

The issue with the squad is interesting as as others have pointed out it sounds like we will be far more circumspect about resigning/ signing players which could put us under pressure later - sure there will be hundreds of players available but surely most clubs will have to run squads with fewer players than in recent seasons to cut costs so it is critical to get the best available at the price. Re our 10 contracted players I believe that 8 of the players are Davies, Rides, Nelson, Ray, Morris, CBT, Payne and Ferrier. Who are the other 2 does anyone know?

I see Hearts are wanting 8m and Partick 2m if their relegations are not annulled. See what happens. A success for them might give us leverage for cash at least. Perhaps compensation for what we will be losing in demotion.

If any club has been signing players - even in advance - I would have expected an announcement in the press. Websites like BBC have posted no deals since April.

I can understand why Micky is on furlough as there is no work for him. No training to supervise, no players to scout, no decisions on new contracts to make etc. He might as well be off on holiday on full pay, recharging his batteries. Shame there's nowhere for him to go!

On legal action they are looking for a precedent elsewhere. If Hearts win or get compensation then maybe yes. If not, probably no. As you say, and, as Nicola said, the EFL goons might have been watching. If fact I would be very surprised if they ere not. Nicola, as a lawyer, would know the tricks of the trade.

Yes. It think the other legal challenges are key to which road MP goes down which is why understandably they cannot say too much at this time.

I thought it was interesting watch.

As for legal or not one of the big considerations will be the Costs as itis.likely to be several hundred thousabd pounds.

I wouldn't worry too much that we are unlikely to make signings early on as the vast majority of clubs will be in the same boat.
