Strong hint from the EFL today that they will do everything they can to end the season with the games remaining. Behind closed doors seems to be the way it’s going.

Yeah, I used to enjoy watching the rough and tumble. Players could really get stuck in but it's a different game these days.

Palios seems to think that is impossible financially for League One and Two clubs, so it will be interesting to see what happens. Clubs like Leeds and Forest would have huge audiences on TV and online but we would make huge losses if we were playing in an empty stadium.

Yes agreed although I don't think there is another solution to finishing the season without a negative financial impact if the EFL are insistent on finishing the season. If no more games are played, I think the league positions stand and we go down. If we play behind closed doors we lose financially for having to play the games but also have a chance of staying up. These of course are all hypothetical scenarios and it could finish a completely different way.

From what Palios was saying last night, I think he wants all football postponed in the lower divisions until we can play in front of supporters again. If that meant completing this season in twelve months, so be it. He seemed to be suggesting we would cancel or defer all player contracts in the intervening period, to reduce all costs to a minimum and effectively mothball the club.

Sadly Norman Hunter passed today. One of the 70's hardest along with Smith, Harris et al.

I can't see the league waiting that long to resume, I think it is either be play behind closed doors or end the season with the tables standing as they are.

Mark Talks so much sense. we are so lucky to have a guy and his good Lady in Charge. the way some clubs are run is so scary. you say the likes of Leeds and forest and most of the Championship clubs are tens of millions of in debt b4 the season was stopped we have a chairman who had sense to put funds a side . we are one of only 3 clubs who where making money in the footie LG . so good on mark and nicky

The EFL will have to wait as long as the virus dictates. I think ultimately clubs will do whatever is necessary to survive, and it seems unlikely lower league clubs can survive a prolonged period playing behind closed doors, unless they get outside assistance.

There will eventually be a cut off point when if the season is not finished the table will stand

I finally finished watching the Q&A. It was so open and honest - and almost like they were in the pub or a restaurant with you. There are a lot of nice people and a lot of successful people, but not many like Mark and Nicola.
