They've cobbled a team together and been smacked again.
Bury continue to get games "suspended" to play at a later date if they survive.
Something not right there.

It looks like the deal has fallen through and they will be liquidated this week. Rivalries aside, tragic and incredible for a club of Bolton's size and history and it also means we will drop to zero points......

I seriously doubt they will be liquidated at all, there is a second bidder but for some reason as of yet the administrators have not removed the preferred bidder status from the group who the deal has collapsed

I like the last part. If the pyramid burns, even those at the top will eventually choke. Bad times indeed.

It seems Bolton have got 24 hours to complete a sale or face liquidation. The administrator has said they have simply run out of cash.

If Bolton go then I imagine that only two teams will be relegated from L1. Does this mean that maybe no one will be relegated from L2 as that League will be two light?

Good point. I expect so. It will have ramifications all the way down the pyramid as the NL will also be two teams light.

My hope is that new clubs are formed - like Wimbledon, Newport County and Accrington Stanley - and they can get back asap. At least the fans have several months to form the club and apply next season to whatever league is appropriate. Wherever they play, the attendances will be massive.

Bolton saved, so we keep our three points. I personally would like to see them relegated, as I don't believe a twelve point deduction is sufficient punishment. I am glad they have survived but would be seriously annoyed if they finished above us.

I see Phil Neville has been going on about Bury again. A shame that he and the other Man Utd players did not put the money into a proper club rather than one they created. When I think of Salford I think rugby league, assuming there is still a RL club there!

Now that the ownership issue has been resolved then surely they will have to face the disciplinary panel over the failure to fulfil one fixture from last season and one from this season and have to be deducted 6 more points

Will they be able to do much before January? The window closes soon and are the number of loans limited?

Absolutely right. The authorities will probably turn a blind eye though...
