I suppose that the delay in new signings may be influenced by the usual agent ducking and diving over wage levels. The less time to the end of the window then reality starts to set in. As others have said, there has not been a lot of movement so far beyond two or three clubs who had clearly decided early who they wanted. Obviously, Rovers strategy will have been influenced by the question as to whether they would be playing in L1 or L2 next season. Two different player markets I imagine.

I'd love to know just what the differential in wages is between L2 and L1. Is it bigger than NL to L2? I expect there is more of a gap now than previously, as surely EPL wages have affected Championship wages and to a lesser extent the lower tiers. Thankfully, with the ticket price increase and the higher number of season tickets sold, the club is able to afford higher pay, but whether we can still afford "top third" wages is a moot point. I don't think Mark has commented about this yet.

I think we will be around half way with our playing budget which will be way below the likes of Ipswich, |Sunderland, Peterborough and Portsmouth to name but a few but will be decent enough for us to build a competitive squad for next season

well its a waiting game now . . we have a forward line who scored 21 last season 13 for connor and 8 Mullin who must be far more happy now he will prob get more game time . ok so it looks like mammy will be staying witch is a major plus but it would be good to see some new quality faces coming in . less than 3 weeks till there back training . . with so much of the team out of contract we need things sorting and soon ....

Manny signs a 2 year deal. Really good news when you consider he has offers from established league one clubs. Just hope we can sign Nelson and once Ellis is fit we’ll have 3 decent centre halves and gumbs a back up if he stays.

A massive vote of confidence in Micky and the club by Manny.

Meanwhile, I see Jordan Bowery has moved from Crewe to MK Dons on a free. I wonder if we went for him.

Probably the best signing we will make this summer. It is great that he has committed for two years, as it would have been easy for him to sign for a year and keep his options open.

I think our budget will be below half way, as clubs like Bristol Rovers and Blackpool will be outspending us. I would say only Wycombe, Accrington and Rochdale (plus Bury of course) will definitely have lower budgets. However, we will hopefully have enough to stay up.

Definite shot in the arm for Rovers and pleased Manny’s signed up again.

The only one, so far, but I take your point. ;) Let's be ambitious and hope he isn't. Maybe Micky will surprise us and bring in a couple of even better players. We will need to sign one or two more players of quality to thrive in the higher tier.

Stockton gone. My beer money is safe (not that it was in any risk). :thumbsup:He's off to Morecambe.

He’s lucky to get a deal at a football league club, even though he did well at morcambe once. Last chance saloon for him

Stockton simply was not good enough, and I am not convinced he will even cut it at Morecambe to be honest. He could not even get on the bench for Wrexham last season.

He did have a back injury whilst at Wrexham that kept him out of quite a few games, Jim Bentley thinks he can get the best out of him but if he cant I think he will drift into non league
