My first away game since the farce at Fylde last season. The hosts are in decent form and were seconds from winning their 3rd game in a row when they drew at Cheltenham midweek.

I’d expect Micky to start with 4-5-1 with Stockton having his hernia issue and Mullin in for Nors. Altho he could delay coles op and play an 2 up front both against their former club.

With Macc coming on Friday we have an opportunity to get 6 points from our next 2 games. But Saturday won’t be easy as the hosts will raise their game.

Anyone know where to park at Morecambe?

Sparky, there is street parking right by the ground.

I think this will be as tough as any other game this season. Morecambe started slowly but have a very experienced manager in Jim Bentley, who knows this division as well as anybody. In the absence of Nors I am not confident we will win the game, but this is still a good opportunity to record back-to-back victories for the first time this season.

I agree that MM will probably start with a 4-5-1 with Gilmour in midfield. Mellon likes to reward good performances and he could not really leave Harvey out after the way he played on Tuesday night.

My last visit to Morecambe was a dismal affair under Micky Adams when about 800 Rovers fans travelled. We have apparently sold 1,300 tickets already, so we are likely to double that following on Saturday. It should be some atmosphere.

we got 1750 tickets so looking like a sell out could be poss . so looking forward to this think mullin will grab this with both hands 2-1 or 3-1 to rovers

I was at the last Morecambe away game RLC mentions, a 0-0 when strong winds made playing conditions difficult. A poor game, although it wasn't clear at that point how bad things would get. Might have gone to this, but for the all-ticket provision and the tickets not going on sale until the Monday after the Newport game. While it will be a good turnout, doubt a total sell-out, particularly with the train strike. Off-chance I will go in the home end.

Despite Gilmour's good half v Lincoln, I'm unsure 451 is the best approach against the lower sides in this league, who may by-pass midfield to a large extent. However the lack of available forwards cuts down the options. It will be interesting to see who gets a place on the bench with the absentees, maybe Ryan Williams against a former club. Don't know that much about Morecambe players, apart from Roche the keeper, who seems to have been there for ever and ex-Rover Kevin Ellison, who's mostly been starting on the bench this season. After a rocky start, the Shrimps form has picked up recently.

Think a score draw most likely outcome, though either side could edge it. About 1.5k SWA in attendance.

If we are going to line up with one up front I would like to see Connor just behind the front man with Smith and DMH or Cole on the other wing, I think we will win 2 1

I would agree Cole should get a chance. Might only get a draw 2-2

Was planning on driving over and buying a ticket at the ground; didn't realise it was all ticket, though. Probably best calling Morecambe tomorrow before I set off! Has anybody heard whether there are likely to be any available?

Tickets came off sale at 12pm today, so I think you might need to go in the home end. It is not all ticket for home fans as far as I know.

I have no idea why the unsold Tranmere tickets could not have been made available on the day.

You would think clubs in L2 (or any division) would be desperate for any income. There may be small staff savings from this policy, but surely it must be costing a few thousand in gate money. I can only think it's a safety issue raised by the police, but other clubs manage with away supporters paying on the day.

Mullin and Gilmour start, Akammadu on the bench. Stockton not in squad.

Interesting re bench, I thought Ryan Williams might feature. Agree with the points BBTC raises about all ticket games.

Well that's disappointing. After a bright start, we are now 1-0 down. At least it's early!

Morecambe have played some decent stuff but we have had all the chances and deserve to be ahead. Mellon has been excellent. A goal and an assist for Gilmour.
