It will be interesting to see who starts up front alongside Norwood, assuming we play with two strikers.

If we play with two up front, I would be inclined to start with Mullin, who has been involved pre-season, though can see there are times when Stockton will start.

It is an interesting one, because Cole had a full pre-season with Carlisle and already knows Norwood's game very well.

By all accounts Stockton didnt have a good pre-season with Carlisle, but the same could be said of Mullin with us. Norwood and Stockton has worked as a pairing, some argument Mullin and Norwood are too similar to function well as a pairing. How would Mullin cope with being left out after looking a likely starter? Who’d be a football manager?!!

Cole scored against Penrith in pre-season but that I agree proves nothing. The manager clearly needed to move players on and given he had done little at Carlisle he was an obvious candidate. The important thing is is he match fit - if he has had a full pre- season then he should be so I think that he will start with Mullin on the bench. Will be important to give Cole confidence right from the off and Mullin has not done that great in pre- season anyway.

Would take a draw to be honest. Header from Ellis or Mac at a set-piece for our goal.....1-1

Stockton and Nors up front. Looks like a possible 4-4-2 with Smith and CJ playing wide and banks/Harris in the middle. Tollit and mullin on the bench. Davies starts

Yes, it will be 442 I think. I had a feeling Stockton would start. Norburn injured I think, which is a blow. Sutton starts ahead of Ellis.

Good attacking line up. Really pleased Sutton in after his excellent performances last season.

Come on whites!

I suppose Stockton will count as our home-grown player. Ellis (particularly) and Mullin might feel a bit hard done to.

Decent half, unlucky to be behind but sloppy defending for the goals.
