Another crucial game and probably the last chance saloon for Rovers: another defeat here and we may be cut adrift in the bottom four with winnable games running out.
It seems that Koumas will return on Saturday, which would be a massive boost. However, with Goody re-arrested tonight as part of the spot-fixing probe, there could be further disruption in the back four. I have suggested in recent weeks that we should be more cautious away from home and play a 4-5-1 to try and pick up the odd point. However, in our current predicament I think we have to be bold and play 4-4-2 in an attempt to win the game.
Colchester are currently in even poorer form than ourselves and we have had the Indian sign over them in the last couple of seasons. On that basis, I am cautiously optimistic, although it really is time for the hard luck stories to end and for Rovers to pick up three points.
