Tranmere Rovers midfielder Charlie Barnett is attracting interest from rival clubs according to skysports.com. Barnett left Premier League club Liverpool last summer to move to Prenton Park and has recently regained a place in the first team after some good performances in the Rovers engine room.
It was reported a couple of weeks ago that Ronnie Moore was looking to open talks with the former Liverpool midfielder to extend his contract. But after his recent impressive displays for Tranmere, Barnett's agent David Threlfall has been talking up his client after rumours of other clubs looking at the Liverpudlian, although he does confirm that he hasn't received any firm interest.
Threlfall told skysports.com, "I am aware of the rumours about other clubs looking at Charlie and it doesn't surprise me. He is in superb form at the moment, but I haven't heard anything from any interested club. Charlie left Liverpool in search of regular first team football and he is getting that at Tranmere now. We are approaching the end of the season and Charlie is focused on helping Tranmere try and reach the play offs."
