Former Tranmere defender Godwin Antwi has left Liverpool to go on another loan spell, this time at League One rivals Hereford United.
The Ghanian born defender has been at Anfield for over three years since moving from Spanish side Real Zaragoza, but has yet to break into Rafa Benitez plans. He spent the first half of the season on loan at Prenton Park where he made six appearances in the white of Tranmere.
Loan spells are not unusual to the 20-year-old. He has spent time at Hartlepool United and Accrington Stanley during his time in England. He has joined Hereford initially for one month, but a deal between the two clubs could be extended should it work out well.
And Antwi could well be thrown straight into the team at his new club as Graham Turner faces somewhat of an injury crisis in defence. The Bulls' first choice defensive pairing seem set to miss out, so Antwi will likely fill in as they face a massive next game at home to Leeds United on Tuesday night. They'll be looking to build on an away victory at Cheltenham at the weekend with another positive result.
