Well it's true that we've a 100% record at Colchester's new ground

With regard to Brighton, I'm not sure we've ever won at the Withdean. Also take a look at our away form...

What OneNight says about points needed to avoid the drop is interesting. It's actually a fairly tight league this season, certainly around the bottom and that usually means more points are needed to stay up. Come April, we'll have a better idea of what's required to keep us up.

Today:

Exeter - 30
Gillingham - 29
Brighton - 28
Oldham - 26
Tranmere - 26
Wycombe - 23
Stockport - 16
Considering Barnes left us bottom with just 7 league points we're at least headed in the right direction. Two games in hand on Exeter and Hartlepool (31 points) means the great escape is still a possibility.

COME ON ROVERS!

NBDH we will stay up, and in the close season when the dust has settled we will all look back on what has happened this season smile and shake our heads.

Beat Oldham saturday and everything will start to look different.

With our excellence result tonight at Gillingham banishing the blues of saturday's defeat I've just had a look at my predictions for survive back in November. Back then I calculated what we had to do to get to 50 points. I've gone through our fixtures and updated it all and WE'RE RIGHT ON TRACK FOR 50 POINTS and hopefully safety IF we keep going ...heres what I wrote (I know we lost the Oldham game, but somewhere we've snuck in a result I didn't think we could!)

I would go with the philosophy of targeting 12 more victories and a handful (5 or 6) draws.... home wins v southend, brentford, carlisle, yeovil, oldham, orient, hartlepool, wycombe and exeter are all essential and will bring in 27 pts. I believe we can do a smash-and grab at gillingham, walsall and brentford, as most seasons we don't travel well, though that would be 9 more valuable points....so 36 gathered from the required 40...surely draws at prenton v Bristol Rovers, and millwall, and away to brighton and on the final day stockport might see us home, fingers crossed.

I'm confused - we have 29 points, so to get to 50 only requires another 21 points (7 victories) or were you referring to what was needed quite a few games back?
