Not a great lover of Wigan, but that was an unbelievable performance. It must be one of the biggest shocks in Cup history.

Made up for Paul Cook and Max, who was the victor against a midfield including De Bruyne and Silva !

I also thought Gary Lineker's reference to 'Wigan Town' summed up the Premier League gravy train nicely.

Clueless.

Wigan were the FL equivalent of a Forest Green or Eastleigh, buying themselves up the leagues.
Think they deserved the win tonight and hope it’s boosted the value of our sell-on clause for Max Power.

Quite interesting that there were a number of players in the Wigan team we locked horns with in League One: Burn (Yeovil), Jacobs (Wolves), Roberts (Huddersfield and Swindon), Grigg (Walsall).

Can’t recall us playing against Burn, who was one of their stars tonight or Jacobs. Seem to remember Grigg as more of a wide player in his Walsall day’s.

Burn played against us in 2012-13, the season Yeovil overtook us to go up through the play-offs. Grigg was playing up front and scoring goals at Walsall in the same season (they also overtook us, as did a few teams).

Well it was a foul on MP that got Delph sent off. A poke in the eye for the arrogant who assumed too much. And Aguero got involved with a fan. No grace in defeat then!

Talking about Max Power, there is an interview with him on the Guardian football website.

The Wigan fan shouldn’t have been on the pitch there and Aguero’s response is understandable.
I remember when Bury won at PP in our last league game, which got them promoted, their fans were more concerned about goading us about dropping out of the league than congratulating their own team of the victory, when they invaded the pitch. Victors frequently lack grace too!

Sorry Boz. Your comments are fair but many Premier League players and Managers are up themselves.
