Micky has moved quickly to strengthen our strike force by signing Cameroonian Guy Madjo for two months. He has spent most of his career in England and has moved around a lot between League One and non-league. He has a modest pedigree, but has scored a few goals such as this one: .
Micky's announcement on the OS isn't a ringing endorsement, but he did well on loan to Port Vale two years ago when Micky managed them. At least this time we have signed an out-of-contact player, which means he won't be recalled. Two months should be enough time to see if he merits a longer deal.

His goals to games ratio is not too bad. certainly better than Odajayi's but that's not saying much. As he's been on trial with the club for a month, and has played for Mickey before at Vale, he might just be OK at this level. Clearly Mickey thinks he's good enough to offer a contract that sees us through to the January window when presumably further strengthening of the squad will happen and presumably this also allows Mickey to gauge Madjo's longer term potential. Overall a smart move by Mickey, who is showing his real management credentials.

Goals to games ratio is pretty good. Probably do alright at this level. Quick replacement by Micky, let's hope he starts banging a few in.

Agree with what's been said already. Seems a sound move as a stop-gap and his fitness should have been assessed while on trial with the reserves. If he does a decent job, can earn a longer deal, while he can't be any worse that Odejayi and Donnelly.
